Setting the 320sqm home back into the hill maximises the land area and creates privacy from the street where the mix of exterior cladding and architectural picture windows make you take note. The two-storey Mecca Built family home utilises a mix of external cladding materials including James Hardie cladding, Integra panel and Taxon, creating warmth and an aesthetically pleasing frontage. The house was positioned at the back of the section to protect the width of the site, with a large outdoor deck that flows to an entertainers’ lawn. The first floor has wonderful views out to Tasman Bay, with full-height doors creating a sense of space and a fabulous, long deck for soaking up the sun.
